Frequently Asked Questions

  • A postpartum doula provides emotional, physical, and practical support after birth. They guide families with newborn care, feeding, sleep, recovery, and emotional well-being—nurturing both parents and baby during the transition home.

  • A doula offers non-medical support—emotional care, comfort measures, education, and advocacy during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
A midwife is a trained healthcare professional who provides medical care, such as prenatal exams, catching the baby, and monitoring health.
Together, they complement each other: the midwife ensures medical safety, while the doula provides continuous emotional and physical support.
