Daria Vinogradova
Birth & Postpartum Doula
Hello, I’m Daria — a birth and postpartum doula serving families on the Peninsula. I believe that every woman deserves to feel safe, supported, and truly heard during one of life’s most powerful transitions.
My journey into doula work began long before I knew the word “doula.” Becoming a mother myself opened my eyes to how deeply birth shapes a woman’s body, mind, and heart. I saw how the right support can transform fear into trust, and uncertainty into confidence. That’s why I dedicate my work to creating a calm, grounded presence for every family I serve.
I’m trained in evidence-based comfort techniques, including Spinning Babies®️ methods for optimal fetal positioning, labor massage, and gentle postpartum recovery support. I also bring a deep understanding of emotional wellbeing, helping families navigate the early days with compassion and reassurance. Whether I’m guiding you through birth preparation, supporting you during labor, or holding your newborn so you can rest, my goal is the same: to make sure you feel cared for, informed, and empowered.
Clients often tell me my approach feels like “a sister who knows exactly what you need.” Sometimes that means quiet encouragement through each surge, sometimes it’s brewing you a cup of tea after birth, and sometimes it’s simply listening without judgment as you process your experience.
When I’m not attending births or teaching classes at Heart and Hand Birth & Beyond, you can find me exploring local trails with my kids, enjoying a slow morning with coffee, or connecting with other women in our community over tea and heartfelt conversation.
If you’re looking for a doula who combines knowledge with warmth, professionalism with heart, and guidance with a genuine personal touch, I’d be honored to walk beside you on your journey into parenthood.
Maeve Sundstrom
LM CPM
When I first discovered midwifery, it felt like reconnecting with a tradition that’s quietly carried mothers and babies through time—an embodied, empowered way of birthing deeply rooted in women’s community and wisdom.
A few pivotal years later, I welcomed my own daughter at home under midwife care. That experience inspired me to become a midwife myself. Today, I’m a California Licensed Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife (2017, National College of Midwifery), with more than seven years of clinical training under the mentorship of three Bay Area midwives. To date, I’ve attended over 400 births across home, birth center, and hospital settings.
I’m also a professional trainer for Birthing From Within, offering workshops for birth professionals. Plus, I’m trained as an integrative pelvic health facilitator, craniosacral therapist, massage therapist, and Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner.
Steeped in embodiment, spiritual connection, bodywork, and birth as initiation, my approach is rooted in trust, presence, and honoring this threshold moment of becoming.
Jane Byvsheva
Birth & Postpartum Doula
Hello, I’m Jane — a certified birth and postpartum doula. As a mother of three, each with a unique birth story, I’ve learned how deeply a woman’s experience can be shaped by the support she receives. My own journeys through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum have shown me just how much care, kindness, and understanding can mean during this special time.
I support families in hospitals, birth centers, and at home, offering care that blends evidence-based techniques with warmth and empathy. My approach includes breathing techniques, optimal labor positions, fetal positioning methods, and gentle massage to bring comfort and encourage progress during birth.
I’m always learning and expanding my skills because I truly love what I do. My role is to help you feel calm and supported — guiding you through birth preparation, standing beside you during labor, and continuing to care for you and your baby in the postpartum period. Whether it’s practical help or emotional reassurance, my goal is for you to feel safe, heard, and empowered.
It would be my joy and honor to support you with care and love as you welcome new life.

Birth & Postpartum Doula
Hello, I’m Catalina, a birth and postpartum doula with over 15 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum days. My journey began when my mother, a pediatrician, introduced me to working with new parents and their babies. From those early days, I discovered how much I love helping families feel supported and cared for during this life-changing time.
I’ve worked as a professional caregiver, newborn care specialist, and certified lactation counselor, supporting infants as young as one day old. In my doula work, I blend evidence-based information, emotional encouragement, and hands-on skills to help you prepare for birth, navigate postpartum recovery, and bond with your baby. Whether it’s guidance on breastfeeding, coping strategies for newborn care, or simply a reassuring presence, my goal is to help you feel calm, confident, and heard.
It’s my privilege to walk alongside families as they welcome new life — offering compassion, respect, and unwavering support every step of the way. Back to About Us

Olga Maskin
Birth & Postpartum Doula
I’m a birth and postpartum doula serving families across the Bay Area. My journey began as a mother of three, each pregnancy and birth shaping my passion for supporting women through this profound life transition. Having had very different labor experiences with my first two children, I became deeply fascinated by pregnancy and childbirth, and that personal journey led me into professional doula training.
I believe that every birthing person deserves respect, informed choice, and the freedom to embrace childbirth as a natural process rather than solely a medical condition. My mission is to create a safe, supportive space where families feel empowered, balanced, and confident as they move through pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. I have a particular passion for working with women preparing for a VBAC, providing encouragement, evidence-based tools, and calm, continuous presence.
Fluent in English, Russian, and Hebrew, I welcome clients in their native language, ensuring they feel heard and fully supported. In addition to being a certified community-centered birth and postpartum doula through Harmony Doula Mentoring, I am also a certified KGH Hypnobirthing teacher. These practices allow me to bring together knowledge, mindfulness, and hands-on skills to help families prepare for birth, navigate recovery, and bond with their baby.
It is my privilege to walk beside families as they welcome new life, offering compassion, respect, and steady support every step of the way.
Gaya Bhatnagar
Licensed Acupuncturist & Ayurvedic Practitioner
Hello, I’m Gayatri (Gaya) Bhatnagar — a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and certified Ayurvedic practitioner. I was born into a family of healers, where Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, and Tibetan medicine were part of daily life. Guided by my parents and renowned teachers from around the world, I learned early on that healing is both a science and an art.
Over the years, I’ve studied with masters such as Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Subhash Ranade, and Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, as well as leading fertility and women’s health specialists. These experiences shaped my holistic approach — combining acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle guidance to support women’s health, fertility, and overall balance.
My goal is to create a safe, nurturing space where you feel heard, cared for, and supported in body, mind, and spirit. It’s my joy and honor to walk beside you on your healing journey, bringing the best of ancient wisdom and modern understanding to help you feel your most vibrant self.
Suliet Bolokov
Artist & Creative Guide
Hi, I’m Suliet, an artist and passionate creator. For the past four years, I’ve been part of the Peninsula Artists group, showcasing my work in local exhibitions and meeting wonderful people who share a love for art.
This journey inspired me to start hosting creative art master classes — welcoming anyone who wants to paint, explore their creativity, and enjoy the magic of making something with their own hands. I believe that everyone has the ability to paint, and that each person’s artistic voice is uniquely their own. My greatest joy is helping you discover that voice and bring it to life.
Recently, I became a mom, and life feels fuller than ever. Even in this busy season, art remains close to my heart, and I love sharing it whenever I can.
Art has the power to touch hearts, tell stories, and make the world a little more beautiful — and I would be honored to share that journey with you.
Yvonne Wong
Yoga & Prenatal Yoga Instructor
I teach with a simple intention: to be of service. Yoga, to me, is a daily practice of attention and devotion—on the mat and in the ways we meet life. My classes invite steady breath, clear alignment, and a quiet confidence that grows with repetition.
I work with students across stages of life, with a special focus on prenatal yoga. Alongside yoga, I lead strength training, indoor cycling, and cardio classes at our Bay Area wellness retreat. What ties it all together is mindful movement—building resilience in the body and ease in the mind.
My approach blends tradition and modern insight. You’ll hear philosophy and mantra, sometimes harmonium and Kirtan, offered alongside cues grounded in anatomy and functional fitness. The aim is practicality with heart: practices you can feel right away and carry into your day.
Training & Certifications
Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (500-Hour) • Pilates Instructor (Equinox Pilates Institute) • TRX Personal Trainer • Spinning Instructor • Les Mills Instructor (Body Pump, Core, RPM, Body Balance) • B.A. (Hons) Business Studies
I’m known for an accessible, encouraging style—steady pacing, thoughtful sequencing, and room for humor. My hope is that you leave class feeling centered, supported, and a little more connected to your own inner teacher.
Maria Tumansky
Embodiment Coach & Women’s Circles Facilitator
Hello, I’m Maria (Masha) — an embodiment coach, certified women’s circles facilitator, and lifelong dancer. My mission is to help women connect more deeply with their bodies and inner selves through movement, mindfulness, and community.
My journey began as a professional dancer, with over 25 years of training and performance experience. Along the way I became a World Cha-Cha-Cha Champion and U.S. Ballroom Standard Champion. Yet it was my own search for healing and self-discovery that led me to the Conscious Dance Movement, where I studied with the founder of SoulMotion beginning in 2011. From this path, I developed a unique practice of active meditation called Meditative Time and Dance, guiding women to awaken their feminine energy and creativity through embodied movement.
Beyond dance, I serve as a Blessing Way Facilitator and guide for women’s healing retreats, fire and drum circles, and sacred gatherings. For more than seven years I have led spaces where women come together to reconnect with themselves, with one another, and with the natural world.
I bring all of these strands together—discipline from professional dance, devotion from meditative practice, and joy from community—to create a safe, inspiring space. My hope is that every woman I work with feels radiant, empowered, and deeply at home in her own body.
